We are excited to announce the April 23, 2026, Truman Symposium of Student Research and Creative Activity. All Truman community members are invited to attend! Please join us from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Truman Main Building and McKeon Lobby on Thursday, April 23 (see more details in the flyer below/attached and forthcoming program).

More than 70 students will present their research, scholarly, and creative work in poster sessions, performances, oral presentations, and art displays, some of which will explore the Earth Week theme of Our Power, Our Planet. In addition, keynote speaker and Pulitzer Center Journalist Jasmine Aguilera will participate in a panel discussion with Truman students to discuss her reporting on lead poisoning in Oakland’s Latino immigrant communities and the obstacles to fixing the problem, despite millions of dollars in funding available.
